MOVIE ABOUT AKON TO BE MADE
 Hip Hop and R&B artist Akon may be young and relatively new to the music scene, but his life story is set to be the subject of an upcoming feature film.
The U.S.-based Senegalese singer, whose track Smack That is now making its mark on the Billboard charts, will be played by seasoned actor Mekhi Phiefer, who has been in several feature films, including 8 Mile, Honey and Soulfood.
Akon claims that his fans will be to see both the good and hardship that he experienced before becoming a famous artist, spending some of his childhood in Senegal and moving to the United States.
